Where this Training Fits in CIDS

Description

This course is designed as either part of the onboarding process for an employee joining a continuous improvement oriented company, or for a company that is starting on a CI path and wants to train its entire team.

It can be completed on its own, but is more powerful when used as part of the full certification program for new employees.

About this Course

Key Points

  • Learn about core company drivers

  • Learn about the CI Principles

Learning Objectives

  • Gain insight into the CI environment

  • Learn the natural order of CI, as governed by principles

  • Learn about your expected role in continuous improvement

Transformation

After this course, we want you know that there is no governing body for continuous improvement, but rather that it is governed by a combination of three things.

  1. The natural laws of CI
  2. Your company's choices
  3. Your own psychology
With that information, we want you to change from a traditional employee who just shows up to work, into a motivated problem solver who wants to make their job better.

About Problem Solving and CIDS

CIDS, or the Continuous Improvement Development System, is a structured approach to building a robust business management system that is powered by a strong continuous improvement culture.

This course, and more specifically, the full orientation program it is a part of, may be used to support CIDS in 2 ways.

  • It can be used as to orient your entire team as you roll out your continuous improvement program. In this case, it should be done in Phase 3, once the leaders have completed the bulk of Phase 2 tasks.
  • It can be used as new employees join the company.
